CRIME PREVENTION - LOCAL FOOTBALL CLUBS
There have been two reports of theft from motor vehicles whilst parked at a local football club.
The first vehicle had a window smashed and the glove compartment opened where a sat nav was stolen. The second vehicle also had a window smashed and side pockets were emptied containing a wallet, mobile phone and some compact discs.
The thefts occurred at Fulbourn Road, Teversham. There are concerns that other local football grounds could be targeted in the following months.
We would like a message to go out to players/spectators asking them not to leave anything in their vehicles. Consider placing items in the boot of the car out of sight, or to take their belongings with them into the changing rooms and ensure that the changing rooms are locked when the building is not in use.
If you have connections to your local football club please can I ask for your assistance with delivering this crime prevention advice.
Kind Regards Kate Kent, Community Contact Officer - East Cambs Sector
