Burwell Tigers Football Club are currently in the process of returning the Swaffham Prior Recreation Ground back into a sporting and recreational facility for the local community and a permanent home for Tigers Football Club.
Recently the Club have received a grant from the Tesco's Charity Trust and pictured is Stuart Coe from the Cambridge Branch of Tescos handing over a cheque for £1000 to the Tigers Under 11 side which will be one of eight teams Tigers currently have training and competing in the Cambs Mini and Colts Leagues that will be using the new facilities.
The development will include four new football pitches, a cricket wicket, site security, car parking and a new pavilion!
The Under 11s are wearing their new away strip supplied by Manchett`s Garages Burwell, a local business supporting a local team.
