Once in every 4 years (OK sometimes 8 and once 12!) the England team takes on the World and usually end up losing on penalties. The World Cup is here and to add some extra fun there is a Burwell Tigers fantasy football competition to encourage you to care passionately about an Italian clean sheet.
The attached form has all 736 players who have been named by the 32 teams.
There are no restrictions on the number of players you can name from one team, so as long as they meet the other rules, you can have as many English or Spanish or Brazilians etc.
If you haven’t done one of these recently just read the rules and select a team to fit one of the allowed formations from the finest players in the World (and Emile Heskey). If you are unsure about something or want advice just ask ( ) and I’ll do my best to help out.
This competition is open to all coaches, players, friends or relations to have a go.
The opening game is at 3pm next Friday (the 11th of June) so all entry forms must be in before that game kicks-off.
50% of the entry fees will go to the Tigers and 50% in prize money.
