On a hot evening at Waterbeach Tigers had to battle hard to earn victory against a hard working Waterbeach team.

Tigers started strongly with some fine passing football causing the home side problems. Nihal Sohanpal and jack Morris were strong at the back allowing James O Rourke and Kiel Waterfield Jenkins to press forward and attack the home defence. Charlie Andrews and Ben Manchett combined to release Ellis Badgery to open the scoring. Just before half time jake Clennell crossed for Luke Eatock to score the second.

The big pitch and the heat seemed to sap the Tigers energy in the second half and they were force onto the back foot. Billy Rayner made tackle after tackle and Adam Moss and Jamie Bruce thwarted the home sides attack to secure victory for the Tigers.

Tigers Under 11s rounded off the season with another victory and yet another clean sheet.

In a tight match between two evenly matched teams chances were scarce and it was scoreless at half time.

The second half was much the same and the entire Tigers team worked tirelessly before they finally made the breakthrough when Ellis Badgery burst clear to score the match winning goal to end a very successful final season in mini league.

Tigers started well and attacked from the first kick off so it was no surprise when Ellis Badgery fired them into an early lead. The visitors were passing the ball well and a fine move involving Jack Morris and Nihal Sohanpal allowed Charlie Andrews to score the second. Jake Clennell then found Billy Rayner who's cross was fired home by James O’Rourke for number three.

With the Tigers dominant Kiel Waterfield Jenkins coolly slotted home the fourth goal.  Just before half time a Jack Morris cross was unluckily diverted into his own net by a home defender.

Kiel Waterfield Jenkins scored the visitors sixth early in the second half after a good pass from Adam Moss. Number seven soon followed when Ellis Badgery scored his second after another fine move. Jamie Bruce was forced into a good save in the Tigers goal before Luke Eatock completed the scoring late on.

Despite suffering late withdrawals due to injury and illness Tigers still managed to turn in one of their best displays of the season to beat a very good Soham side.

As is usual in matches between these two sides it was a very even start to the game with chances few and far between. With Kiel Waterfield Jenkins excelling in the home goal and Jack Morris and Nihal Sohanpal dominant at the back this allowed Tigers to throw men forward. Luke Eatock and Charlie Andrews combined to release Ellis Badgery to open the scoring. Soon after, a fine ball from James O’Rourke once again found Badgery who coolly fired home number two.

Just on the stroke of half time Soham pulled a goal back with a thunderous shot into the roof of the net.

The second half started with Soham on the attack and only good work from Jake Clennell and Billy Rayner prevented them from scoring.

Tigers increased their lead when another fine ball from O`Rourke allowed Ellis Badgery to complete his hat trick.  With time running out Badgery completed a fine performance when he controlled a Billy Rayner cross and volleyed the ball home for his fourth of the match.

On a windswept morning in Ely, Tigers started brightly and were soon into their fluent passing game. They attacked from the outset and it was no surprise when they took the lead through a fine strike from Ellis Badgery. The home keeper was in fine form and pulled off a number of fine saves.

Tigers increased their lead with a fine passing move involving James O`Rourke, Charlie Andrews, Nihal Sohanpal and Jack Morris allowing Luke Eatock to coolly slot the ball home. Ellis Badgery made it three after a fine pass from Jake Clennell.

The second half saw Ely come more into the game and good work by Adam Moss and Jamie Bruce  prevented them from scoring. A super corner from Billy Rayner was then volleyed home by Kiel Waterfield Jenkins to score Tigers fourth. Ely scored a consolation goal late on that their second half performance deserved.

Tigers lost out to high flying Milton Colts by the odd goal in three after a very entertaining match between two good footballing sides.

Milton took control early on  but they found Adam Moss in top form in the Tigers goal. Nihal Sohanpal, Jack Morris and Jake Clennell were excellent  in the Tigers defence. The deadlock was broken when Milton scored with a deflected shot which found its way into the back of the net. With the last kick of the first half Milton scored the second their good football deserved.

The second half saw the Tigers show great character and took the gamme to Milton with some fine passing football. Ellis Badgery, James O`Rourke and Billy Rayner took control of the midfield .Kiel Waterfield Jenkins and Charlie Andrews were combining well up front and but for some good saves in the home goal they would have pulled a goal back.

With ten minutes remaining their efforts were rewarded when Luke Eatock fired in a shot which the keeper did well to save but Charlie Andrews was on hand to fire home the loose ball. This led to a pulsating finish and Tigers nearly snatched the equaliser when an Ellis Badgery shot grazed the post.

15-03-08 AWAY SOHAM TOWN COLTS - KO CUP SEMI FINAL L  2 - 1

In a tight game between two evenly matched sides Tigers were beaten by the odd goal in three.

The game started with Soham on top and but for two fine saves by Adam Moss the home side would have taken the lead. After these early chances the two defences took control with Kiel Waterfield Jenkins and Jack Morris doing a great job in the Tigers defence.

The second half started with Charlie Andrews going close for the visitors and Jake Clennell clearing off his goal line for Tigers.

Soham broke the deadlock with a cracking goal from outside the area.

Shortly after and against the run of play Soham broke to add a second.

With only five minutes remaining Nihal Sohanpal hit a thunderous free kick which James O’Rourke turned into the net to set up a tense finale.

Despite laying siege to the Soham goal the visitors could not find an equaliser and Soham progressed to the final.

Tigers wish Soham all the best in the final.

Tigers made a very slow start when they entertained local rivals Isleham and they were a goal down within the first five minutes. It would have been two but for a great save in the Tigers goal by Adam Moss. The home side started to come more into the game and they drew level with a well taken goal from James O`Rourke. Jake Clennell and Jack Morris were dominant at the back which allowed the Tigers to throw men forward and they took the lead when Billy Rayner crossed for Charlie Andrews to slot home. Ellis Badgery made it three just before half time when he was sent clear by Nihal Sohanpal.

The second half started with Tigers playing some nice passing football and they increased their lead when a goal bound shot from O`Rourke was helped on its way into the net by Luke Eatock. Isleham kept trying to push forward with some good football themselves but they found Kiel Waterfield Jenkins in good form making a number of last ditch tackles. Tigers scored number five with a fine solo effort from Luke Eatock and the same player slotted home number six to complete his hat trick.

To their credit Isleham never gave up and they gained their reward with a late consolation goal.

In a scrappy first half chances were scarce with both defences gaining the upper hand. The home side had Nihal Sohanpal and Jack Morris in top form at the back but they could not get their passing game going against a hard working Ely side.

The second half finally saw the Tigers gain the upper hand and their fine passing started to stretch the visitors and it was no surprise when they took the lead when Daniel Garner fired home a James O`Rourke cross.

Tigers soon increased their lead with a fine move involving Charlie Andrews, Kiel Waterfield Jenkins and Billy Rayner allowing Luke Eatock to score number two. At the other end Adam Moss and Jamie Bruce looked assured at the back for Tigers.

A fine through ball from Ben Manchett released Ellis Badgery to burst through to score the third. A fine second half display was complete when Luke Eatock beat his man and found Ellis Badgery with a great pass and Badgery coolly scored his second.

Tigers travelled to Histon on cold frosty morning and turned in one of their best displays of the season.
The first half saw the Tigers attack from the outset and their passing had the home side chasing shadows. At half time the visitors were 8-0 up with every player contributing to some great goals which were scored by Ellis Badgery (2), James O`Rourke (2), Kiel Waterfield Jenkins (2) and Charlie Andrews (2).

To their credit Histon kept battling in the second half and came more into the game and were rewarded with a goal. Tigers raised their game once again and went on to score four more goals with Ellis Badgery and Kiel Waterfield Jenkins completing hat tricks and Luke Eatock netting twice himself to round off a fine all round team performance.

Tigers progressed to the semi final of the Mini League Knock Out Cup with a hard earned victory away at Comberton.

The visitors started slowly and soon found themselves a goal down. Only some great defending from Jack Morris prevented Comberton from increasing their lead.   The introduction of Billy Rayner and Charlie Andrews turned the game in favour of the Tigers.  The visitors started to get their passing game going on a tricky surface. The visitors were awarded a free kick and Nihal Sohanpal stepped up to fire in an unstoppable shot. The visitors were now on top and James O’Rourke found Charlie Andrews who crashed a shot against the bar.

The second half saw the Tigers attack at will and only a fine save prevented Luke Eatock from  scoring. It was no surprise when they took the lead after good work from Jake Clennell and Kiel Waterfield Jenkins released Ellis Badgery who slotted home.

The home side pressed forward in search of an equaliser but were denied by great tackling from Billy Rayner. When they did find a way past Adam Moss was in inspired form in the Tigers goal.

Billy Rayner found Ellis Badgery to score Tigers first. Charlie Andrews then levelled the scores with a fine solo effort just before the break.

The second half saw the Tigers play some great football with Luke Eatock setting up Ellis Badgery to put them ahead.  Jake Clennell then released James O`Rourke and his cross allowed Ellis Badgery to complete his hat trick.  A fine save from Jamie Bruce late on clinched victory for the Tigers.

With all the pre-match talk about Christmas presents it seemed the last thing on the young Tigers minds was a football match!

Those worries were dispelled within the opening two minutes when Tigers found themselves two goals ahead. A fine ball from Ben Manchett released Ellis Badgery to open the scoring within seconds of the kick off. Straight from the restart Nihal Sohanpal and Jack Morris combined to find James O`Rourke who calmly slotted home number two. The home side came more into the game and only a fine save from Adam Moss prevented them from scoring. Good work from Jake Clennell then allowed Luke Eatock to score number three and just before half time Ellis Badgery scored a fine solo effort for the fourth.

The second half saw the Tigers come out and play some super passing football and they were soon rewarded when Badgery completed his hat trick. A fine run and cross from Charlie Andrews then saw Kiel Waterfield –Jenkins volley home the sixth. Luke Eatock then scored number seven after a fine turn and shot and the same player completed his hat trick moments later. With only moments remaining the Tigers scored the goal of the match after a fine move involving six players allowed Eatock to cap a fine individual performance by scoring his fourth and his teams ninth goal.

Tigers signed off for their Christmas break with an emphatic win.

The home side started brightly and took the lead in the opening minutes of the game with Dan Garner converting a Jack Morris cross. Two quick strikes from Ellis Badgery increased the Tigers lead before Nihol Sohanpal found Luke Eatock to score the fourth. The fifth goal was the best of the lot with Kiel Waterfield-Jenkins volleying home from outside the area. Charlie Andrews headed home number six from a Billy Rayner corner before James O`Rourke finished off the first half goal spree with number 7. Adam Moss and Jamie Bruce wre virtual spectators at the back for the home side.

To their credit Streatham kept battling and Tigers were forced to work harder in the second half.  Good work from Ben Manchett allowed Charlie Andrews to score his second before Ellis Badgery completed his hat trick after a fine solo run.

In a tight match played in blustery conditions chances were few and far between. Two good sides cancelled each other out with their good work rate all over the pitch making for a pulsating match.

Half time arrived with the game scoreless thanks to great defending from Nihal Sohanpal and Jack Morris in the Tigers defence.Likewise the Tigers strike force of Charlie Andrews and Luke Eatock were kept quiet by the home sides defenders.

Good football was played by both sides and just as the game seemed destined to end goalless a cruel deflection off a Tiger player put the home side ahead.

With only minutes left the Tigers showed true spirit to push forward and after good work by James O`Rourke and Kiel Waterfield Jenkins, Ellis Badgery fired home the visitors equaliser.

The spoils were shared between two well matched sides.

Tigers progressed to the third round of the league cup with a hard earned victory over Thurlow.

The game was end to end with Adam Moss and Jack Morris doing well to stop the home side taking the lead whilst Luke Eatock and Kyle Waterfield Jenkins going close for Tigers. Tigers made the breakthrough midway through the first half when Nihal Sohanpal released Ellis Badgery to open the scoring. Just before half time Charlie Andrews increased their lead with a well taken goal.

Thurlow laid siege to the Tigers goal in the second half and only a brilliant goal line clearance by James O`Rourke prevented them from scoring. This seemed to spur on the visitors and with some fine flowing football they cut through the home defence and Ellis Badgery scored a third to send his side into the next round.

Tigers hosted table topping Milton and suffered their heaviest defeat for a number of years.

They got off to the perfect start with Luke Eatock putting Ellis Badgery through to open the scoring in the first minute.  Milton equalised soon after and for the next twenty minutes the scores remained level. Just before the break Milton scored twice both goals coming from headers from set pieces.

Two more goals from corners early in the second half saw Milton extend their lead before James O`Rourke set up Charlie Andrews to pull a goal back for the Tigers. Tigers continued to pile forward but were then picked off on the break by Miltons fast strikers.

Tigers were well beaten on the day by a very good Milton side.

Tigers Under 11s played their first 11 a side match in a friendly away to Priory Parkside.

The young Tigers took to the bigger pitch like ducks to water and played some very good football on their way to a comfortable victory.

Scorers for Tigers were Jack Morris, Charlie Andrews and Ellis Badgery who netted four!!

Tigers lost their first match of the season after a thrilling contest against local rivals Mildenhall. The match was end to end with chances coming and going at both ends. Adam Moss pulled off a number of good saves early on to keep the visitors level whilst Charlie Andrews and Luke Eatock both hit the woodwork at the other end. The first half ended goalless.

The second half was much of the same with James O`Rourke striking the crossbar for Tigers with Jamie Bruce and Nihal Sohanpal doing well in defence for the visitors to keep the score line blank.  Just as the game somehow seemed was going to without a goal Mildenhall scored a well worked goal with only moments remaining.

Tigers progressed to the next round of the cup with a late goal to clinch victory in a seven goal thriller.

The home side were slow to get into the game and only good defending from Nihal Sohanpal and Kiel Waterfield Jenkins prevented the visitors taking the lead. This stirred Tigers into action and they laid siege to the Gamlingay goal only to be denied by a number of fine saves by their keeper. Just before half time the deadlock was broken when James O`Rourke crossed for Charlie Andrews to head home.

Early in the second half saw Billy Rayner and Daniel Garner combine to release Luke Eatock  to score Tigers second.  Straight from the restart Gamlingay pulled a goal back and soon afterwards they equalised.

Tigers again went on the attack and Jake Clennell found Ellis Badgery  who rifled the ball home. The visitors once again hit back to equalise.

Just as the tie seemed destined for extra time Ellis Badgery picked up the ball on the half way line and went on a mazy run that took him past a number of defenders before he coolly slotted home to send his side through to round two.

Both teams came into this match boasting unbeaten records so far this season.

The visitors made the perfect start taking the lead within a minute of the kick off. This stunned the Tigers and only some fine saves from Adam Moss and great defending by Nihal Sohanpal and Kiel Waterfield-Jenkins stopped them from conceding a second. Slowly the Tigers started to get into the game with Ellis Badgery and James O'Rourke gaining control of the midfield. Just before half time Tigers equalised after good work from Charlie Andrews allowed Badgery to fire in a shot that the keeper somehow managed to keep out but the rebound fell to Luke Eatock who coolly slotted home.

The second half was an entertaining affair between two evenly matched teams with chances scarce at either end. Billy Rayner worked tirelessly in the Tigers midfield but neither side managed to find a winning goal in the second half so the spoils were shared.

Tigers attacked from the outset and their fluent passing game did not take too long to reap its rewards.  Luke Eatock and Charlie Andrews combined to allow Ellis Badgery to open the scoring.  A rasping drive from Nihal Sohanpal was well saved by the visiting keeper only for James O'Rourke to pounce to slot home the rebound. Tigers were now in full flow and it was no surprise when Ellis Badgery scored number three after good work from Dan Garner.

The second half started with Jake Clennell dominant at the back for Tigers and this allowed the home side to attack at will.  Number four came after good work from Eatock who's cross was diverted into his own net by a defender.  The Haverhill goalie did well to keep the score down before Billy Rayner fired home number five for his first goal for the Tigers.

Tigers ran out victorious in a five goal thriller.

The first half saw both defences dominant and a goal just before the break saw the home side go into the interval ahead.

The second half was a joy to watch with great football from both sides. Tigers equalised nearly straight from the restart when James O'Rourke released Ellis Badgery who fired home from close range. The game was now end to end. Nihal Sohanpal and Jake Clennel were doing their best to stifle Isleham attacks with Kiel Waterfield-Jenkins and Luke Eatock causing the Isleham defence problems at the other end. Isleham went back into the lead with a neat finish and Adam Moss then had to pull off a fine save to stop them increasing their advantage.

Tigers then drew level again with a fine individual goal from Luke Eatock who turned his man and calmly slotted the ball home. Chances were missed at either end before Badgery and O'Rourke combined to
allow Daniel Garner to score the winner with a sublime finish on his Tigers debut.

Tigers started their season off in fine style with a victory over Histon Hornets.

The home side started well and were soon into their fluent passing game and it did not take long for them to open the scoring when Ellis Badgery hit a rasping drive into the roof of the net from twenty yards. The Tigers were dominant with Charlie Andrews and James O`Rourke causing mayhem in the Hornets defence with only the visiting goalies superb form keeping the score at one. The hosts were shocked just before the break when they were caught on the break for Histon to equalise.

The second half started well for Tigers as Nihal Sohanpal released Luke Eatock to restore the lead with a cool finish. Adam Moss made a good save to keep the home side ahead before Jack Morris and Jake Clennell combined to allow Badgery to notch his second. A pass from Jamie Bruce then found Badgery who calmly completed his hat trick to make the game safe for the young Tigers. To their credit Histon did not give up and notched a late consolation goal.

Tigers under 11s entertained Wilbraham in a pre-season friendly on a bright an sunny morning at Margaret Field.

The home side started brightly and took the lead mid way through the first half after good work from Luke Eatock allowed Ellis Badgery to score. Just before half time the visitors equalised. The Tigers were playing some good football especially as they had a number of players making their debut¹s for the club.

The lead was restored when James O`Rourke finished off another impressive run with a well taken goal. Charlie Andrews scored a goal that his hard work deserved to make it 3-1. Jack Morris then released Andrews to score his second. Tigers were now well on top so it was no surprise when Ellis Badgery scored number 5.

To their credit Wilbraham never gave up and scored a late consolation goal.
